A Van Cleef & Arpels art deco 1930's powder compact.
Styptor and gold.
(Styptor is an alloy of pewter and silver. It was used during the late 1930s and 1940s primarily in the manufacture of minaudières when precious metals were in scarce supply)

Signed VCA. (Van Cleef & Arpels normal mark). Engraved "Styptor". Numbered 114
