Jean-Noël Cabanettes, your host, has been collecting Art Deco since the age of 15. He cultivates both a specific vision of the movement and a confidential network that enables him to find the best items at reasonable prices.

FrenchCab is more than just an antique gallery; it is built upon a 10-point philosophy:

1 – Authenticity and quality of objects

Our extensive experience in searching for Art Deco pieces enables us to easily identify the copies that invade the market. Needless to say, you won’t find any on this site. All the pieces we offer, unless otherwise mentioned, are original 1930s pieces. As in all great museums and collections, some pieces may have been restored. These restorations do not detract from the value of the objects—quite the contrary. Whenever we detect such restorations, we mention them.

2 – Reasonable prices

Many sites, particularly specialized portals, offer Art Deco pieces at absurd prices. We believe the best way to effectively develop our business is to offer the right pieces at the right prices. Our sales margins are no greater than those of any retail business. Because we want you to become regular customers, we place great importance on our competitiveness. You will often find our pieces at half the price of outcomes from large international auctions. If you see an item at double the market price, tell us! We like to know when we can improve.

3 – Tested and sharpened logistics

Before making his passion his trade, FrenchCab founder Jean-Noël Cabanettes held several important positions in one of the largest motor logistics companies in France. His training as a transportation engineer and his professional experience ensure the best possible service in the packaging and shipping of your orders—even the most delicate ones.

4 – Secure means of payment

For the EU, we accept bank transfers, which are now perfectly secure. For other countries, we now prefer to use specialized banking portals such as Wise.com, which offer excellent security and traceability for international transactions.

5 – The right to change your mind

Because we believe you have the right to change your mind, we accept returns. Only the shipping charges remain at your expense. If, for any reason, you are not satisfied upon receiving the object, send us a message and we will inform you about our return policy.

6 – Easy terms of payment

Because passion has a price, we easily accept spreading out payments. Simply let us know your requirements, and we will immediately get back to you regarding the feasibility of a payment plan.

7 – Transparency with authorities

We declare the full value of the goods we send anywhere in the world. Customs charges and import duties depend entirely on the laws of your specific country.

8 – Transaction confidentiality

All transactions carried out with us remain strictly confidential. We never share our customers' names with third parties, and sale prices are removed from our site. Upon request, we can also remove the objects you purchased from our visible databases.

9 – A human relationship

While internet transactions can sometimes feel impersonal, we strive to favor genuine human relations. We are currently testing an online shopping cart and payment system for certain items (typically under €1,000). However, for significant works, we still prefer a direct exchange by email. Furthermore, nothing is mandatory: we are more than happy to handle a transaction manually by email even for items that offer the shopping cart option. Jean-Noël Cabanettes, not a robot, will answer your requests in person.

10 – Exceptional services for demanding customers

Are you looking for an expert to accompany you during business trips to France? Do you want to organize specific logistics for a unique project? Whether you are looking for a specific service or have a new idea in the Art Deco universe, do not hesitate to contact us. We enjoy new challenges.
