Art deco watercolors

Very elegant 1930's art deco watercolors pair.
signed Bravos... Biavos... Bravoz... Not sure.
Very well painted.
Each watercolor (hand painted of course ) is about 15" x 10".
Original 1930 wood frame shows few damages as you can see on the pictures.

 1- "De l'influence d'une 40CH sur la vertu d'une midinette"
(Influence of a 40CH car on a Midinette virtue)

The word "midinette" is outdated in the sense of "silly romantic working-class girl", but still in use to talk about romantic naive girls ("jeune fille à la sentimentalité naïve" as the TLF says). Typically, young girls who fall in love with handsome actors or singers and stand yelling to get an autograph or a photo are called "midinettes".

Comment on the bottom of the drawing :
"Et dire qu'il y a encore deux mois elle était encore petite main"

Just think that 2 months ago whe was still "Petite Main" (= low paid worker)

2- "Mauvaise conduite'
"Bad drive"

Comment on the bottom of the drawing
"J'ai encore du me tromper et appuyer sur l'accelerateur au lieu du frein"
(I still mistaken puting my foot down instead of brake)
