| Madeleine Barbedor was born in France at Bourth (Eure) the 26 of January 1905. She attended the Ecole des Beaux-Arts in Brussels where she was student of Alfred Bastien. Then she left Belgium and lived for several months in St. Tropez and then moved to Cagnes sur mer. From his drawings emanate daily life of residents living in the medieval village overlooking the sea. She kept throughout his career love of drawing, and the taste of the translation of vital feeling in the simplicity of line. She devoted much of his art to symbolism and romanticism. His drawings are not without some mythological scenes recall. She exhibited at the Salon of French artists in Paris in 1933 and 1935, Menton, Nice, Cannes and Saint Paul de Vence. | ![]() |
