Raoul Lamourdedieu art deco large group. Bronze.

Bronze and Ivory group of two ladies holding a tray.

Strong Art deco style bronze sculpture by very famous french sculptor Raoul Lamourdedieu and edited by one of the greatest and sought-after foundry of art deco period : La Stele.

Wonderful Dinanderie patina on ladies dress. Black marble base.

Signed and numbered in the bronze. Foundry mark "La Stele".

Large size : 44cm width. 42cm high. Tray diameter 27.5cm.

Tray is old but not sure if original to the piece. Few milimeters two large. The two only similar figures I have found (one auctioned in 1998, the other on the market now, but only bronze, without ivory) are presented without any tray.
Raoul Lamourdedieu pieces and La Stele production are very rare pieces. Reason why references are missing.

Excellent condition over all for patina, that even if showing few wear, is still really excellent. Most often, on such pieces, dinanderie patina is very degraded.

A rare find for discerning collector.
