These art deco clocks are extremely rare. The work of lacquer and eggshell is characteristic of the art deco era in France where talented and avant-garde artists worked with these materials. We can cite Sandoz, Brandt or even Jean Dunand. We sometimes find cigarette cases or jewelry made using the same technique. The clocks are extremely rare. It was common at this time for lacquer artists (or enamellers) to have the support for their work manufactured by small companies. This is the case for our clock, the Parisian manufacturer of which is Blum Caussignac.
