French work.
Engraved "M.PROST" & "SUSSE FRES EDIT PARIS" on the base.
Mounted on an angled slate portoro marble base.
This rare version mounted on portor marble as well as the quality of the cast attest to the age of the sculpture. The copies are mounted on Granite. The quality portor marble mines like that of our panther are no longer in activity.
Excellent condition.
