Impressive 26″ high 1930 art deco sculpture of a man. Signed DARCOURT. This sculpture sometimes appears with CHIPARUS signature. It seems that this DARCOURT is a pseudonym for DH Chiparus. I only know 2 sculptures signed by this “Darcourt”. For both sculptures the style is definitly the same as Chiparus and we don’t have any info about this “Darcourt”. For these reason, in my opinion it is evidence that artist is Chiparus.
