    Raymond Dierickx, 1904-1978, Belgian painter and watercolourist. Born in a family of artists, he is the son of Joseph Dierickx and the nephew of Omer Dierickx, he was a pupil of Constant Montald, Jean Delville and Emile Fabry at the Brussels Academy from 1920 to 1929. First exhibition at the Georges Giroux Gallery in Brussels in 1926. Founding member of the “Héracles” Group. Was a teacher at the School of Art of Ixelles from 1932. Predilection for paintings of processions, parties, fairs, landscapes and character compositions. Raymond Dierickx introduces us to a mystical world. This is the world known from images of previous centuries. In his works, colors can compete with enamel. His palette shows a poetic splendor. He captures the light and lets it shine again in his work. Works at the Museums of Ixelles, Mons and Reims. Artist listed in Bénézit, Arto and Piron, Artprice, Artnet, Mayer, Akoun ….
