A patinated and cold painted with real stone (ruby) bronze sculpture opening in a (tobacco ?) box.
Portoro marble base.
Signed with pseudonym 'Fanrose" in the bronze.
Excellent condition. Hinge on the rear of head is loose but still fine.
20cm high. Base 14cm 16.5cm
Indubitably inspired by Gustave Flaubert historical novel "Salammbo", this sculpture is an interesting fusion between symbolism, art deco and orientalism style. A rare find. Never seen on the market.
