Jean Serriere
Jean Serrière refuses to enter to the ‘Fine Arts School’ in Paris and goes to ‘La Palette School’ where he became the student of Desvallières and meet Jacques Emile Blanche, Cottet ,and Laprade. Then, he meet Gromaire, Dubreuil, Guindet to the Lejeune’s Academy, and with them prepare an exhibition at the Hébrard Gallery from 1920 to 1933. Even if he never forgot painting, he starts to work brassware, and with the decorator Karbowsky. In 1927, he exhibits to the Decorator Exhibition pieces of brass ware and start to work enamel to include it to the Printz Exhibition at the St George Gallery. In 1938, he became Chevalier de la Légion d’Honneur.
