Raymond Feuillatte is a French painter, illustrator, decorator, fresco artist and engraver born in Neuilly-sur-Seine in 1901 After studying at the National School of Fine Arts and Decorative Arts, Raymond Feuillatte devoted himself to his career as a painter. The favorite subject, outside of the landscapes where he deploys his talent as a colourist, are the scenes of the life of the circus, as well as the life of Paris at night. He exhibited regularly in the Salons, from 1919 at the Salon des Indépendants then at the Salon d'Automne where his first work was received in 1924. Winner of the city of Paris in 1933, he spent a year traveling in the Magreb, from where he brings back many paintings with vibrant light. We also owe him many wall decorations made for individuals. He also made many tapestry cartons. In 1936, one of his paintings, Les deux cavaliers, was selected to represent French art at the Berlin Olympics in 1936. His works appear in the collections of the Center Pompidou.
