hollow-cast spelter pieces, each signed 'ch Ruchot', comprising a central sculptural piece depicting a globe incorporating integral clock of French brass drum movement, within a stylised whirlwind formation, incorporating an early aero engine and surrounded by birds and a winged angel, the whole surmounted by a representation of an early Blériot-type monoplane, 68cm high, flanked by a pair of similarly styled garnitures each featuring an early hot-air balloon, both 50cm high, each with spelter decorative bases and mounted on raised marble plinths.
