iconic streamlined modernist JUMO lamp. France 1940.

Jumo lamp

Circa 1940. Bakelite, copper, chromium plated metal. Excellent condition. No cracks. No repairs.
Works fine. 7.25"w x 10.75"d x 20".
THIS LAMP IS THE ORIGINAL ONE. NOT A REPRO.

For the first half of the 20th century, the French created the most avant-garde lights available, partly owing to the efforts of the Jumo firm.
This streamlined desk lamp is a great example of the Machine Age and includes a pivoting shade that folds into the bakelite base.
The shade can be angled in several directions and also can fold down into the base.
