Roger Godchaux pair of bookends with lionesses
Roger Godchaux (1878-1958)
A pair of metal lionesses on metal base.
Circa 1930.
Small metal plate with "Godchaux" name on the base side is missing.
Excellent condition and patina.
Each bookend about 18cm 12cm base and 16cm high
Nota. These bookends usually appear in bronze. Base is most often wood, but sometimes marble or metal.
This version is NOT bronze but cast metal. Probably spelter. When in bronze these bookends usually sell from 5000 to 10000euros. This is the reason of my very reasonable price !
