Born in Algeria in 1949, Michel Levy arrived in France in 1962. Wavering between sculpture and medicine, he began to settle as a sculptor in 1969 in Paris. Then he began studying medicine in 1974 (Henri Mondor Hospital). He will reconcile his two passions by becoming art therapist at the Public Assistance (Émile Roux hospital) for four years. Then he decides to devote himself solely to sculpture.

His works are presented in many international galleries. He has also received distinctions such as the City of Paris Medal, the European Merit Medal for all of his work, and was named Chevalier des Arts et des Lettres in 2004.
