From the family of the employee of customs of sea protection. He graduated from the architecture-строительное branch of the Technical College in Baku (1913). In 1913 he moved to St. Petersburg. Performed the design of the play "Mystery-буфф" В. В. Маяковского in the production В. Э. Мейерхольда (1921; in collaboration with В. П. Киселевым and В. Л. Храковским); decoration — structural system of ladders, bridges, platforms, around the hemisphere with the words "Earth". Made by the artist and Director of the movie "Radio" (1927).
