Barat 1930 art deco painting

Strong art deco style and so elegant painting by hungarian sculptor Maurice (Mor) Barat.
Oil on cavas. Just professionally cleaned. Frame keys have been replaced and canvas have been restretched.

He studied in 1903-1904 at the School of Decorative Art  in Munich. and  Berlin. For a time he worked as a graphic designer in Germany.
After his return to Transylvania, he worked in Tirgu Mures, and opened an art school in  Nagyvárad with  Machalik Alfréddal  and Mikes M. Ödönnel.
His first exhibition was in 1912 in Budapest. In 1921 he exhibited in Targu Mures.
Many of his works are in museums and private collections in Transylvania.
