This sculpture exibited in 1948 in Musee d'Art Moderne de la ville de Paris. (See details below).
Excellent condition. (a small wood part missing in the front lower right part of the sculpture. A crack in the wood back to the sculpture. Wood is strong and sound.)

Jose Clavero

Sculptor born in Zaragoza (Spain) in 1906. Died in Toulouse (France) in 1973. Began his career as a wood sculptor in the 1930s in Barcelona. Exhibited in particular at "las galerias Layetanas" in 1934. Exiled in France in 1939 fleeing the Civil War in Spain. Moved to Paris in 1945. Exhibited numerous times at the Salon of the Society of Independent Artists at the Museum of Modern Art of the city of Paris. Exhibited in Toulouse and at the Museum of Modern Art in the city of Paris for the exhibition of Spanish Arts in Exile. (Our work presented here was exhibited in 1948 at this exhibition. It is mentioned in several newspaper articles) As part of the research we have carried out, we will provide the buyer with a complete biographical file on José Clavero. Press clippings, photos of works, extracts from exhibition catalogs, etc.
