Student at Beaux Arts school in Toulouse, Fortuney, illustrator of daily life was initiated by Toulouse Lautrec, Gervex, Sisley and Renoir.
He is a figurative painter Pastellist near the Expressionism and Fauvism.
Anarchist, he refuses official salons and contracts with art dealers. His paintings are scattered without ever having been presented in public.
