Gaston alexandre (1908 - 1971) was first sailor and electrician. He moved to Notre-Dame-de-Gravenchon after the war in 1945. He exhibited for the first time in 1948 at the Salon des artistes Normand and at the Museum of Fine Arts in Rouen and in 1965 he won first prize at the Salon des Independants in Rouen, Normandy. A diverse work made of cauchois landscapes, scene of daily life, but also ports still lifes.
